Beautiful sunset today 11.12.2013

Hello!

The weather here has warmed 25 celcius degrees during 40 hours at Siilinjärvi. And now it is +5C.
It is also predicted that storm is coming to Finland during night between thursday and friday. And it has already named to be Seija-storm (womans name).

Here is sunset photos I took today. Three lowest photos are away from the sun. At two lowest photo you can see rare cloud formation along here over hill of Kinahmi, behind those smoke pipes. Kinahmi rises 313.7m over sea level and is among highest hills of Northern Savonia (province). I have never seen that kind of cloud in Finland. It is orographic cloud. That cloud is caused by moist air crossing hill of Kinahmi. The air gets slightly cooler when rising and crossing the hill and moisture condenses as visible cloud.  It is usually a mountain phenomenon. It was very humid air here despite it was partly sunny day.

As far as I know all lakes in our province are now frozen and dont give any heat and moisture in the atmostphere causing that the weather is possible to be more continental and wintry. (If not large warm airflows between south and west.)
