Today I went to municipality of Maaninka, which is next to municipality of Siilinjärvi. There are canals for ships, rapids and bird lakes.
At first I went to Canal of Ahkiolahti. Water levels of lakes was so high up that they let extra water from upper lakes go through canal. Gates was partly open.
Then I went to Viannankoski-rapids where gates was fully open to prevent floods on upper lakes.
Very much flowing water on Viannankoski.
Then I went to Korkeakoski-rapids and it was also flooding as every flow here. It drops 36m in short distance and thus it is Finlands highest rapid, but however it is not a waterfall.
And finally I went to Patalahti bird lake and walked 5,1km there. I was not seeking birds, just walking and filming. There was not much birds. It is winter time, but snowless ground if shadow places are not counted. The nature is snowless and floods in January which is not usual here and is weird for me.
